For shadowamypunk - A Promise To Protect

While there are many awesome Sonic fan-artists, good fan-fiction writers are few and far between. ~shadowamypunk 's work stood out to me (and she's a great fanartist too!); they're engaging and really got me more hooked on the whole Shadow/Amy thing than before. Used to really dislike the pairing a while back (long before joining deviantART), but it's some fanfiction I read a long, long time ago that brought out the appeal, made me a fan. ~shadowamypunk 's stories are among the most memorable and favorites that I've read since becoming a fan. So you can sort of imagine how I freaked out when she approached me about a collaboration. To be approached by someone you admire! I was really excited to say the least!

Many probably assume the idea has long died, but maybe not so. While it's still highly difficult to make it come to fruition when we are both so busy with our respective personal lives, the idea was shelved for a while, but I did talk to her about a month ago about it again. We both really want to work on it! If only life calmed the hell down. But there is a chance this project will come to fruition. Time will tell!

The title of this submission is named after one of the chapters of her story, "Legacy of a Shadow Rose".

Obviously I need to work on pencil drawings, haha... Or maybe all forms of drawing, actually.. But this was fun to work on, and a nice break from Photoshop. Enjoy! Hope you like it, ~shadowamypunk!
